Personal Trainer Spotlight: Alisa Rose with ART Fitness.
Area Servicing: Servicing the greater Wilmington, DE area.
Experience: Alisa has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and currently holds certifications for Personal Training, TRX, Functional Movement Systems, Fitness Nutrition and Medical Exercise.

At Gym Source, we value the expertise of personal trainers. That’s why we regularly spotlight local trainers who have a passion for fitness. This month we are featuring Alisa Rose, founder of ART Fitness. Alisa stresses that, “fitness is a journey, it does not happen overnight. It takes consistency and dedication over time.”

Alisa is passionate about putting health first without the gimmicks. Her boutique studio of six years, ART Fitness, focuses on functional movements mimicking everyday activities. From kettle bells to free weights, sledge hammers to tires, and everything in between her workouts are no joke.

She’s especially passionate about “bridging the gap between the fitness world and the medical world.”

ART Fitness helps individuals who are struggling post injury to return to normal functioning. They go as far as partnering with physical therapists, chiropractors, and orthopedic surgeons to create comprehensive workout plans to best parallel their medical needs.

Additionally, Alisa understands a holistic approach must incorporate lifestyle. That being said, she has begun bringing her holistic fitness programs into the corporate space with lunch and learns, workplace group exercise and in office stretching.

“I am honored each time I get to be part of someone’s fitness journey. My underlying success story is watching people grow, develop, and get to a point of loving themselves. In fact, my client’s have indirectly given me so much confidence I now compete in fitness shows, something I never thought I would do.”

When clients struggle during their journey she reminds them, “It’s a mental game. We stop ourselves from progressing, we have to stay dedicated to our goals and the reason we started and - GET OUT OF OUR HEADS.” Alisa is actively training for a fitness show and admits she faces the same struggles as her clients. She can relate to the struggle.

If she was limited to only a few pieces of gym equipment she recommends using a treadmill for cardio and a resistance band, foam roller, kettle bell and TRX home gym for strength.
